On October 21, 2013, Cummins Group in India, the leading manufacturer of engines, generator sets and related components and technologies has been presented the BG Deshmukh Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Award. The Company was presented with this award by Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), on Sunday for its
outstanding contribution towards social development. This is the second time Cummins has won this award.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. S. Ravichandran, Head – Corporate Responsibility, Cummins Group in India said, “As a responsible corporate, Cummins has always been striving to build stronger communities. Corporate Responsibility is one of Cummins’ six core values and by leveraging the time and skills of our employees’ on community involvement activities that have the potential to be sustainable and replicable; the Company continues to make a positive difference to the community.”

The BG Deshmukh award is given by MCCIA to organizations for their contribution to social development based on the following criteria: corporate vision for CSR, employee involvement and participation, scalability and sustainability, degree of innovation, and driving multi-location activities with impact.
