New India Assurance inked an MoU with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), to provide an exclusive state-of-the-art portal for the members, students and employees of the institute for personal lines of insurance like personal accident, health insurance, professional indemnity and motor insurance covers.
The general insurance market leader would provide a portal, which can be accessed through a link on the institute’s website http://www.icsi.edu. The portal’s site is icsi.newindia.co.in.
The portal allows remittance of premium through a payment gateway by credit card, debit card or net banking. The access is secured as details like membership number, registration number and employee roll number are required to login.
The MoU signed by Mr. Rakesh Kumar, General Manager (Distribution channels), New India Assurance and Ms. Alka Kapoor, Jt. Director, ICSI, was exchanged by Mr. G. Srinivasan, Chairman cum Managing Director, New India Assurance and Mr. Ananth Subramaniam, Chairman of ICSI in the presence of Mr. Somnath Chatterjee, former Speaker of the Lok Sabha at Kolkata on 19th July 2013.
New India has crossed global premium of Rs. 12500 crore in 2012-13 at 18% growth rate. The company is targeting at 20% growth in the business, to Rs. 15,000 crore in 2013-14 and is set to expand its overseas operations in Myanmar, Qatar and Canada.
