Radisson Hotel Group has formed a new partnership with MakeMyTrip, India’s leading online travel agency (OTA), as it continues to enhance its presence in the world’s most exciting emerging markets.

The new online distribution agreement will allow Radisson Hotel Group’s entire global portfolio of over 1,400 hotels and resorts to be available via MakeMyTrip.com, its popular booking app and other platforms, potentially reaching millions of customers in India and beyond.

MakeMyTrip now becomes one of Radisson Hotel Group’s largest OTA partner in the Asia Pacific region.

“India is one of the world’s most dynamic markets for travel and hospitality, with a population of more than 1.3 billion people driving a booming domestic tourism industry and an expanding outbound market,” said Katerina Giannouka, President, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group. “Through this exciting new partnership with MakeMyTrip we look forward to welcoming many more Indian customers to Radisson’s hotels, wherever in the world they travel.”

“India has been a key focus market for Radisson Hotel Group for many years, so forming a global partnership with India’s largest OTA is a natural progression of this strategy. We are fully committed to our Indian guests and will continue to create meaningful benefits for them in partnership with MakeMyTrip,” added Saurabh Prakash, Vice President, Commercial, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group.

The agreement between Radisson Hotel Group and MakeMyTrip will create numerous advantages for both companies and their customers. Radisson Hotel Group will be able to showcase its expanding global collection of hotels on India’s leading OTA. Both parties will work on building a direct connect interface that provide a seamless way of distributing hotel rates and promotions. Centralized reporting will also enable Radisson Hotel Group to gain valuable insights into its Indian business and customers.

MakeMyTrip meanwhile, will be able to promote and sell Radisson Hotel Group’s eight internationally recognized hotel brands to the growing domestic Indian travelers. The two companies will also now work together on mutual marketing campaigns, further extending the benefits to their customers.

Direct connectivity will provide a seamless way of distributing hotel rates and promotions to MakeMyTrip’s platforms, while centralized reporting will enable Radisson Hotel Group to gain greater insights into its Indian business and customers.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Radisson Hotel Group, one of the hospitality industry’s most recognized brand names and a major player in India. As an increasing number of Indians travel overseas, we will work together with the Group to create attractive new online booking options and global travel experiences for our customers,” commented Ritwik Khare, Chief Business Officer, MakeMyTrip.

Radisson Hotel Group expects to reach 100 operating properties in India by the end of 2018, giving it one of the largest Indian portfolios of any international hospitality company. Six of the company’s eight brands are now present in the country, and this will soon increase to seven following the launch of India’s first Radisson Collection hotel in the near future.
